Ernest N. Litzenberger,72, of Denver Pa formerly of Boyertown, lost his battle with cancer Tuesday February 13, 2018. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Gehman) Litzenberger. They were married 51 years. Born in Hensingersville, he was the son of the late Earl and Helen (Dries) Litzenberger. He was a member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church Denver where he enjoyed working on various repair and maintenance projects. He graduated Emmaus High School. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves as an EM2. Ernest worked for Bally Case and Cooler / Bally Engineered Structure / Bally Refrigerated Boxes as a Draftsman Application Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager and Commercial Product Development. He attended night school at Ursinus College and Penn State Extension. The last ten years before retiring were with D&B Thermal Co. Inc. in Exton. His hobbies were spending time with his grandchildren, oil painting, photography lawn, gardening and traveling.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, children Dina wife of Michael Slechta of Lancaster, Kent and his wife Jennifer of St. Clairsville Ohio, Kirk and wife Devon of Reading, four grandsons and one grand daughter, brothers Leon and wife Dorothy of Alburtis, Joe and wife Ellen of Macungie, sisters Bernice Ruppert of Macungie, Linda wife of Charles Marks of Zionsville, Brenda Miller of Alburtis, JoAnn wife of Michael Hartshorne of Alburtis and June Litzenberger of Alburtis.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday February 19, 2018 at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway, Old Zionsville, PA 18068. Calling will begin at 9:00 in the church. Cremation burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Macungie.
