Norma J. Grammes
On Friday, March 23rd, Norma J. Grammes, 86, of Coplay, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Richard L. Grammes, to whom she would have celebrated 66 years of marriage in April. Born in Minesite, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul T. Sr. and Sallie R. (Snyder) Bieber. She and her husband co-owned Norma J Restaurant since 1967, which her family continues to operate. She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church and as a child was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Emmaus High School and worked in the x-ray department of Allentown General Hospital before her marriage. Mostly, she will be remembered for the love she had for raising her 3 children and grandchildren.

Aside from her husband Richard, survivors include sons Michael R. and his wife Kelly-Anne, Douglas P.; daughter Jamie L.; brother, Lloyd; 3 grandchildren, Matthew M., Kimberly A., Samuel R. and 2 great grandchildren, Lily and Daniel. She was predeceased by her sister Caroline Bortz, brothers Paul T., Jr., Kermit and Dale.

Services, 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 27 at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Rd., Orefield. Calling will begin at 9:30 AM.
