Aldine A. Angstadt-Mantz, 95, of Allentown, entered into eternal rest on December 25th in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Willard Mantz. Born Kreidersville PA, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Jennie (Hunsicker) Hoffman. She worked as a seamstress at the former Kutztown Silk Mill and then was the proprietor of Smith’s 5 and 10 in Kutztown. She was a member of ST. Paul’s U.C.C. in Trexlertown. Aldine loved to do quilting, and was a member of the ST. John’s U.C.C. (Laury Station) and ST. Paul’s U.C.C. (Trexlertown) Quilting Clubs. She also enjoyed crafting plastic canvas and doing puzzles. Surviving are sons Nelson Angstadt and wife Debbie of Kutztown and Glenn Angstadt and wife Judi of Allentown, daughters Diane Buchert of Pottstown and Ilean Ruhe and husband Randall of New Tripoli, a sister Evelyn Merkle of Krumsville, eight (8) grandchildren and nine (9) great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a first husband Samuel Angstadt, a son Kevin Angstadt, brothers Norman Hoffman, Forest Hoffman, Harold Hoffman, David Hoffman and a sister Thelma German. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the Carl F. Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville PA 18031, with the Rev. Al Bastin Officiating. Interment will be held at St. Paul’s U.C.C. Cemetery in Trexlertown. A calling hour will be held at the Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the ST. Paul’s U.C.C. Church or to ST. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, c/o the funeral home.
