January 7, 2022
Carl ("Mike") Michael,96, passed away on January 7, 2022 at 5:00 at Lehigh Valley Hospital with family members at his side. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marilyn Michael, and their 5 children-Barry (Susan), Carl (Jane),Linda, Scott, and Rick (Sue) as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Carl faithfully served his nation as a Navy veteran and received a letter from Harry Truman thanking him for his service. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville. He was an avid stamp collector, having pursued this passion since he was a young boy. He was also an avid poker player and had earned the nickname 'Lucky' while in the service. God said that there was an opening and wanted "Lucky' to join the table. He remained in love with his wife and cherished her now as much as he had when they first got married. There is no finer man to walk the earth than Carl Michael and we will be indebted to carry out the legacy of his memory of treating others with dignity, respect, and love. He will be remembered not only on the day of his passing, but for all the days that highlighted such a beautiful life. Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 15 at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville. Calling will begin at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum, Wescosville. Instead of flowers, dad would hope that you do an unexpected act of kindness for someone less fortunate, in his name.
