Kermit C. Afflerbach, 87 formerly of Orefield died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at home in Breinigsville. He was the husband of the late Elsie Afflerbach. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Kermit Afflerbach Sr. and Elda Leiby. He grew up in Kutztown with his foster parents the late Clifford and Verna Hartranft and their sons, Chester and Robert. He worked in construction in various areas. He served with Lehigh Law Security, REACT, and the Old Time Plow Boys. He entertained as a D.J. at Alburtis Park and other venues for many years. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Survivors: companion, Eleanor Knute; son, Robert and wife, Kim; brothers, Chester and Robert Hartranft. Services are private as per Kermit’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alburtis Park 328 S. Main St, Alburtis, PA 18011.
