Larry L. Bloch Sr., 80, of Macungie passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Jeanne Rae (Dengler) Bloch to whom he would have celebrated 63 years of marriage next week. Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Cyrus G. and Alverda E. (Bennicoff) Bloch. Larry worked in the welding department of Mack Trucks before retiring in 1988. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served on the USS Taconic in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1961. He had a great love for hunting, fishing and gardening. Mostly, he will be remembered for his great love for his family, especially his wife Jeanne. Survivors: wife; son Larry Jr. and wife, Renée; daughters, Wendy, wife of Steve Trapp; Sherrie, wife of Steve Miller; Terrie, wife of Michael Burkhart; Gina Cramsey and her companion Joshua Kulp; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Alexandria; brothers, Harold and Earl; sister Dorothy E. M. Zettlemoyer. Services: Noon, Wednesday, March 24 at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville. Calling will begin at 11:00 AM.
