Patricia A. Harig

February 24, 2022

Patricia A. Harig, age 80, of Emmaus, passed away February 24th at home surrounded by her family. She was married to Robert W. Harig for 43 years and lived in Lower Macungie Township as well as Mertztown. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Emma (Green) Boger. Upon marrying Bob, Pat became a member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ in 1960. Pat worked at Rodale Manufacturing Company for 17 years as an assembly worker. After that, she retired and enjoyed time with grandkids. She was a member of Wescosville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for more than 35 years and the Firefighters Women’s Association of Wescosville since 1999. Pat cared for many family members who needed assistance and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren when they were young. Pat and Bob often hosted family picnics each year that were enjoyed by all. Holiday pinochle playing was always a family tradition. She was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Harig (2003). She is survived by daughters Brenda (and John) Weida of Allentown, Bonnie (and Anthony) Miller of Macungie and Cynthia (and Sylvan) Wenrich of Bethlehem; as well as brothers Carl Boger of Allentown and Ralph Boger Jr. of Breinigsville and sister Frances Grossman of Allentown; grandchilden: Nathan Miller, Brittany Weida (Drew) Kutzor, Meghan Weida, William Updegrove III, Shane Miller, Adam Wenrich; step-grandchild: Clair Wenrich; great-grandson: Harrison Kutzor; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Eleanor Scherer of Allentown. Edith Persiani of Ocala, Florida, and step-sister Jean Worman of Whitehall. Services: 6:00 PM, Tuesday March 1, Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville. Calling will begin at 5:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
